Griots G15 vs G21
i know i know another one, so its no longer a question between griots vs rupes for me. im for sure going griots. also im not going to get the new flex either, while its an amazing machine im going to stick with griots.
so 15 or 21?
i hear some say that if you work on to many curved panels then then 21 is to much and you need to go smaller so the 15 would be best. but then i think to myself if i get the 15 and im doing larger cars like suvs then im going to regret not having the 21. being able to change the BP on the 21 to the 5 will not only give me great correction power but also get into some smaller spaces BUT isnt that void when your throw is 21mm?
just so you know i have the following
FLEX 3401- 6 inch
Flex 3401- 5 inch
PC with 3 inch PB
(traded my other GG6 with 3 inch backing plate, before the GG3 plate came out...DOH!!!)
the main cars i do are sedans, coupes with SUV's trailing in third. normally mustangs, chargers, 3 series and benz's
i really want a long throw i just dont know what to do. i also dont want to get both, i know the benefits of having both but really want to keep things simple and have a one and done for all things (if possible)

Get the 21...
You already have the 3", 5" and a 6".

Re: Griots G15 vs G21
It comes down to preference, and type of vehicle you mainly work on.
If you're working on more edges/smaller profile vehicles, then I'd go with the 15. If you're working on flatter panels, or larger vehicles, go 21.

Get the 21, you can always run the 5"bp, I do.

i have the g15 and love it. if you go by what griots says the g21 is recommended for professional detailer's while the 15 can be used by anyone

Wish I was closer to Washington so I could just go in and test them out

Re: Griots G15 vs G21
I have tried both 15 and 21 before.
Maybe it is just me, but I felt the 21 was just right with a 5" BP.
As some already commented have options including PC with 3".
I would have convinced you to get the 15 had this be the only machine.
Best wishes!

Re: Griots G15 vs G21
I run a 21 most of the time. I'll move to my GG6 with a 5" or new 3" plate for the tighter areas. With the BOSS, pads and creams I have just as much correcting power as the 21 out in the open areas. And it is nice being 15 minutes from the Griots store
