    Maintaining Griot's Poly Wax

Over the weekend I went back to using Poly Wax as my LSP. I had used it once before on my previous vehicle and kind of forgot I had it, to be honest. Did a light polish and applied the PW.

I am debating throwing a layer of BOS wax over it for some additional depth/protection. Outside of opinions on that, do you have any thoughts on how best to maintain PW? I was thinking of alternating Best of Show detailer and perhaps D156 as a drying aide.

    Any input is appreciated.

If you would like to keep it Griots, go with their wax as you dry product. Great product for maintaining a LSP. I have used it the past and it is a stand out.

    Re: Maintaining Griot's Poly Wax

I had a nice chat with Jeff Brown of Griot's via e-mail about this subject. In my case, I was asking him about topping with their Premium Carnauba Paste Wax (my favorite wax I've used, though this was before the reformulated or paste BOS waxes came out).

His recommendation if you really wanted to go all in: Apply a coat of the Poly Wax, and allow to cure/cross link for 24 hours. Then apply a thin coat or two of wax. Upkeep with the Spray on Wax as drying aid after washes.

Ironically, I still haven't had a chance to apply this method yet (dang day-to-day life stuff in the way), but in the past I have been really happy with the performance of the Premium Carnauba Paste Wax over their One Step Sealant.

Thank you. The premium carnauba looks great, but I may step to a lower price point and try out the best of show paste. It looks nice as well. Thanks again...lots of clarity here.
