Trim Coating suggestions
Hello Autogeek,
I have been out the detailing game for a while. I dont know what is popular right now but I am looking for a trim coating that will keep the trim looking new.
Thanks in advance.
Feels good to be back. Hopefully I remember some or the old memebers.

Re: Trim Coating suggestions
I really like the one offered by Blackfire. BLACKFIRE Total Trim & Tire Sealant
It may seem a little expensive, but a little bit goes a VERY long way. I don't use anywhere near the amount they list in the directions. It provides a "like new" appearance to the trip and I get months of durability out of it. I've only used it on trim, so I can't say how it holds up on tires.

Re: Trim Coating suggestions
Blackfire trim sealant which I just used looks great so far and lasts a long time from what I've heard, we'll see.
Wolfgang trim sealant as well comes highly recommended

It hold up pretty well on tires.....but trim is where you really notice it. Don't be put off by the price...a little goes a long way

Re: Trim Coating suggestions
There are many trim sealants and dressings. They all look good on application, but lack durability. If your looking for a trim "coating" try Car Pro Dlux.

Re: Trim Coating suggestions
Thank you guys for the suggestions.
I was looking more of a coating than a sealant. I want to use it on brand new trim.
I was thinking car pro dlux or Gtechniq C4.
What works best?

Both are good, but I also use Dlux on new headlights and wheels.

I agree. Can't go wrong with either one on trim.

GTeqniq 4 Trim Sealant lasts at least 6-7 months on a car in southern Ontario Canada.
I put it on my trim 6 months ago and it still looks like new.
Must remove from surrounding paint, but other than that really great product.
A very little goes a long way.
