Re: what is the best finishing polish "hands down" in your opinion???
I recently used some 3D HD Polish+ that I had sitting around unused from a while back and have absolutely fallen in love with its gloss, work time, and easy wipe off. Not in love with the fact that it has been discontinued. I emailed 3D and they recommended the ACA 520 or AAT 502 products as substitutes. Probably going to try the AAT 502 b/c of the price (i.e. $29.99/qt.
Also gave MegÂ’s m210 a run on a few panels recently, but I was not impressed with it. WasnÂ’t easy to wipe off and was not strong enough to remove light wash marring that accumulated since my carÂ’s last annual polish. I really do think this is a product specifically catered to softer clears, as MegÂ’s frequently referenced in their videos and forum posts about the product. I would not recommend m210 for medium to hard clears based on my experience thus far. Another thing I noticed was that my Duragloss coating did not bond properly on the panels I used 210 on, in spite of using DGÂ’s Squeaky Clean cleaner before application of the coating and letting the car cure overnight in the garage. Not sure what went wrong; heavy fillers/oils, possibly?

Hello,
I have seen videos of hand cream being used to polish, (maybe a optimum training vid?).
The pad has cut, cream was lubricant.

I've used ACA 520 twice now.
On my doors in the shade it wasn't bad at all but in the sun on my bonnet it was one of the worst wipe offs i ever had in my relatively short machine polishing life. Worst then 3D one a day or 2 before in very similar conditions. Definitely be using a damp rag and maybe a chemical next time i use it to clean up.
3D one even smells a lot better the 520.

Apex detailing done a video using only hand cream and an aggressive pad, it did cut. Pads are arguably more important according to that test/video. Which makes sense to me.

If pads didn't make a difference, we would only have one color.
