Got generator - Use 4 Prong or 3 Prong (photo attached)

    Hey guys

I got a generator for mobile detailing but a bit confused about which plug to use.

    I'm running a MetroVac blower (19A, 120V, 2280 watts).

Should I be using the 4 prong twist lock outlet or the regular 3 prong outlet? I'm confused because I can't find a 4-prong-to-3-prong adapter. The MetroVac uses the regular 3 prong plugs...

    Specs of generator:

    Thanks!

I'm no electrician but the 4 prong is for 240v, in your diagram it's showing 2 hot wires so that equals 240 v. Pretty sure you just need 120v for vac

Use the standard 110 (3-prong) outlet.
It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.

The reason you can't find one is because you would be going from 110 volt to 240 volt. You would fry your blower. I rent generators for a living
