    Oil on paint?

So last week I had my truck oil sprayed for winter here in Ohio now I am getting ready to get the paint set for winter but there is some over spray from the oil on the paint just about everywhere is there anything I can add to my wash to remove it or with just a good hand washing with Meg's GC do the trick? The color is black if that makes any difference

Quickest way would be a solvent prep degreaser. That available at your local autobody supplies store. If it's not that bad dilute some apc and see if it completely removes it.

Alright I'll give that a shot it's not terrible but it's there I just don't want the oil to mess up the wax I'm gonna put on if I don't get all of it off the surface

Kinda old-school stuff. Post-undercoating days way for shops to make money.

IMO not necessary though. Today's cars are made of double galvanized metals and unless abused and never cared for won't rust for many many years. Even with ones that tend to you can find the trouble spots on the internet pretty easily and insure those trouble areas are free from build up and preven the rust.

Just my opinion. I wouldn't want to have to clean it up. Yuck.

Back in the "old Days" when I was young we would wash our cars about twice a year with kerosene mixed in water. It stripped the old hard paste wax we used to use and also put some oil down inside the seams etc. You could try that. I suspect that when we had non clearcoat paint that it was putting some oils back in the paint to make it shine again.
