Can this oxidized/sundamages paint be fixed without professional help?
Backstory:
A car backed up into my door and smashes it in. Insurance wont cover it and I feel like it would be cheaper to buy another car of the same model and just swap the doors then sell the car I just bought for a little less (also use some other parts if needed).
I am thinking of buying this car which has a door in this condition. Do you think the sun damage along the top of the door can be fixed without professional help? I have access to a PC 7424xp and various pads. Not the roof but the area right above the door handle.
I do not really care about the hood but do you think the hood is beyond repair?

Looks like clear coat failure to me. The only real fix is a repaint.

Looks like a Nissan 240SX. That's a fun car to drive. That will require a professional body shop to repaint the vehicle. The clear coat is shot.
