Black Honda - finicky paint advice wanted

Working on a black 2014 Honda Odyssey with very finicky paint. I've tried 6 different pad/polish combos and can't get it dialed in yet.

    Orange/white LC
    Yellow Rupes
    Honey Scholls Spider

    Optimum Hyper Polish
    Scholls S20 Black
    GG Correcting Cream

Seems soft and a bit sticky. Doesn't need anything too aggressive as it only has light swirls and scratches. Polishes are more difficult to remove than normal.

Working in air conditioned garage at 74 degrees. Cool paint and full chemical and clay decontamination beforehand.

Any advice is on technique and products to try is appreciated.

    Thanks.

Do you have a finishing pad that you can try.

Re: Black Honda - finicky paint advice wanted

For what it's worth, I have a 2008 Honda, maroon in color that has soft paint, very soft paint. For some reason, Optimum products don't work well with either me or the paint on my car. Ditto for Lake Country pads, orange or white. I get the best results with Sonax perfect finish and Surbuf pads. I don't know if your paint system would be radically different from mine, but I like the gloss and clarity I get with this combination. Good luck.
