That's the main reason I do not use a drying aid. It will eventually ruin your drying towels. They will be less and less absorbent over time because of the left over product.
I dry first with drying towel then apply detail spray or spray wax if desired with different towel.
$39 for a drying towel is a lot but you don't really need the big towel. We are drying the entire car with 1 small 16 x 16 PFM towel. I bet that big towel must weigh like 10 pounds when saturated. No need for the bulky big towel.
