Windshield cleaning
Ive managed to accumulate alot of tiny pits and imperfections in my windshield glass, and I was wondering if anybody's tried a rubbing compound, ie, something like 3m 39001 Medium Cut Rubbing Compound on the glass? Could apply it either by hand with a towel, or with a 4" foam pad chucked into a drill, etc. Even a PC could be used. I dont know.. there are even several complete looking glass polishing kits available. But theyre expensive, and include alot of stuff I dont need at the moment.. Im just looking for something to try and remove some of the marks that Windex type glass cleaners dont eliminate.

A polish that will polish glass is "cerium" polish. It's relatively expensive so anything that it is used in is going to be expensive.
I wouldn't use a compound by hand since there wouldn't be enough speed so you might be adding scratches.
Here's what I would try: Clay; Glass Polishing kit by machine (Diamondite).
