Awesome use for Mothers Mag and Aluminum Polish

EDIT - Thought I'd bump and give update, this was definitely a permanent job, the trim still looks like the day I used Mothers Mag and Aluminum

Just found a new use for it. On my truck for some reason all around the body molding (if I find my camera I'll take pics in a little bit), it had these stain like markings, like the truck had been washed with something that stained in a weird dripping type look, pics will explain/show better lol. I got the truck new like 6 years ago and don't remember when this 1st appeared but I've remembered it for years. Nothing I used worked, not Klasse AIO, nothing nada.

I just grabbed the Mothers Mag and Aluminum polish and said f' it, lets see what this will do, it worked. Rubbed with a terry towel and it was turning the towel black just like using it on chrome, and in the spots I tried the molding was much shinier and nicer looking, and about 97% of the stain in the areas I did was gone.

I'll try to get pics later today or tomorrow if I can find my friggen camera. Its not made for moldings but that mothers products worked awesome on it.

    finally pics:

after some Mothers M&A in a spot

showing more of the weird stain marks

see the difference in reflection on spot using Mothers M&A

what the Terry towels looked like after rubbing

What, the trim? Trim is just regular molding with a flakey grey goat. Here's an old pic I had on photobucket, the part of trim that says Mountaineer, that whole molding had dripping stain marks, can't really tell in this picture.

Yeah... Surfer the pic does look good, can't really see what you are talking about. Good to know Mothers Mag and Aluminum polish will work on the trim too. Thanks for sharing! Ohhh yeah... nice shiney wheels!

The angle is hiding it, thats an older pic, I found the camera, I'll take a pic and show what I mean. Irked the hell out of me for years and I can't recall when/why it happened as it was uniform all around, maybe bought like that and didn't know, lol?

Pics uploaded, I'm not saying everyone should do this b/c M&A doesn't play nice with some trim, I tried a little on rubber seals around windows, was a beotch to get off. But on chrome I love it, and on these coated moldings I can't believe how well it worked when it wasn't made to be used on them. Leaves a nice, smooth and clean finish as well on the moldings. So seems to work great on plastic type trim/molding, just don't use it on rubber trim.

Gotta figure out an easier way though, maybe wrap a Terry towel around a pad, rubbing by hand takes to long lol.

The Mothers metal polish is also great for restoring head light lenses....even their power metal polish works great...I have done real bad lenses and brought them back like new...

I can't believe you posted pictures of a detail Surfer. This must be some kind of hoax.
