    2 Step Polishing

So quick silly question, I did test spots with polishing and couldn't notice a difference to my eyes but would it be okay to go from a compound like Meguiars 105 right to Menzerna 85rd or would it be recommend to use something like 105 in between, I can not see a difference but I don't know if it will be more hazy going from a super abrasive formula right to a jeweling polish.

So many variables such as clear coat hardness, amount of haze left by compounding step, how well you were able to finish down, pad choice, machine speed, arm movement speed, etc.

The short answer is....you can go from M105 to Menz 85rd. If you are referring to your VW, you would most likely use a white or green foam pad to finish down. Check you work after by doing a wipedown with an IPA type product and proper lighting to ensure that you achieved the results you're looking for. Basically....test spotting.

On lighter colors it is possible, although I could never get M105 to finish down to my liking. OTOH Adapt(R.I.P.), FG 400 and a few others have finished down to my liking on many different paint. On dark colors I always follow with a polish but its up to your level of standard than go for it

Test spot and see if your happy with the result..

    IME on genrally harder paints..
No I have always gone from (in order of most agressive correction where required)....
SMAT compound (Jiuce Super C) to DAT heavy cut (Scholl S3) DAT medium cut (Scholl s20+) polish and then to a DAT finishing polish (Car Pro Reflect) .. selecting pads based on whatever removes the issue and finishes down the best for that stage..

I know folks say white hides stuff, but IME only if your happy not to look too hard..
I want the paint right irrespective of the colour.. (for my cars..)

For others it depends on what they want and how much they care..
