Best One Step Product
I am looking for a one step polish/compound for a black car that will remove swirls but leave behind a high level of gloss. I am not looking for something with a wax or sealant in it. I am simply looking for something that will cut and shine at the same time.

I heard good stuff about HD Adapt(HD Speed has a wax in it.). Never tried it but will order some at the end of the week.

There so many good ones, but i will go with SSr 2.5 poorboys because it's user friendly as well.

just an FYI thats not a "one step" is. One step would include a wax.
Sounds to me your looking for a nice finishing polish, and Wolfgang, Menz, offer some nice final polishes which amp gloss

Re: Best One Step Product
How much swirls does your car have?
IMO, it really depends on the current condition of your paint, how much swirls you want to remove, how hard is your paint, etc.
We cannot really recommend 1 product because that product might work for one car in achieving the goals you have but it may not work for a different vehicle with a different paint system.
Also, I think there can't be a product that's good in different aspects. If it can do multiple things (like an AIO) then it has to sacrifice performance in each department.
But to answer your question, I like M205 paired with a microfiber pad. Cuts really well and produces great gloss. Again, this may not work for your particular application.

Re: Best One Step Product
What type of car? I have one stepped with HD Cut and I have one stepped with HD Polish. Adapt was a great product but I'm not sure how much longer it will be around?

I've been using Meguiar's M86 on a blue Buff and Shine grip pad, or Rupes Keramik on a yellow microfiber pad.

Yow, really? I always liked that product but mine is pretty much too dried out to get out of the bottle. Not sure that's what I'd recommend today though.
I think I'd go for Menz SF3500. Of course that depends how deep the "swirls" are.

Did ya try to search? lol everyone who has asked before you got the same jumble of suggestions on your exact question. There really is not a "BEST" for all
That said I have XMT360 now McKees 360, HD Speed, and Meguiars D151 at the ready
