    Seeking advice

Hello everybody, first post here. Just a hobby of mine.

I drive a black mica mazdaspeed 3 (2011) and I'm trying to switch up my process on cleaning the car. I put P21s on the car and the heat broke it right down. No jetting and the car has water spots all over the place. Here is my process.

Chemical guys Mr. Pink/ w foam cannon
    50/50 vin/water mix to prep
meguiars mirror glaze - 105 with a yellow pad
Meg Solo - 86 with a yellow pad
surf city garage barrier reef carnauba wax with a white pad

Norton Liquid Ice - Quick detail for the normal wash.

I have a cyclo HD orbital 5-Pro that I use.

Ive been reading quite a bit that the mazdas paint is very thin and soft. I learned this when I burned the paint on the hatch and had to get the whole rear of the car repainted. Now I am nervous to wheel again or work some spots that need some TLC.

Usually, I just do a quick pass of the meguiars solo 86 now and top with a wax. I want to get a little deeper into that. I have washing scratches all up and down the car.

Am I better off using a AIO product instead of doing a process? Something a little more of a cut? Ive been eyeing wolfgang stuff.I used to use the metal sealant on my old cars wheels and it was an amazing product.

I did notice the p21s gave me some light marring in some spots too. Just alot of washing scratches that I could never seem to get out. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Here are some pictures of the car.

Part of the problem was likely the yellow pads combined with 105. You likely didn't need anything close to that tough on the paint. I had a Speed3 and never hit it with anything stronger than a green pad, usually white, with Ultimate Polish.

Going forward you most likely don't need anything more than a white pad and some basic polish or an AIO like HDSpeed. Those will fix up the above without issue.

I'll give a green pad a shot with the 86 I have. I've always thought about using a lighter pad but wasn't sure how it would work. If not I'll try that HDSpeed. Thank for the advice man!

I'm going to get the Wolfgang sealant for a top off.

So a little update on what I did. I ended up picking up some 205 with green pads. Did two heavy passes over the hood and used meguiars ultimate for a top off. The results are outstanding. I will post some follow up pictures after the car is completed. 205 is a godsend on this car. I'll get Wolfgang sealant when the jetting starts to fade.

The 86 I had just is pointless now. May be a good match with the yellow pad.

I like M86 as my medium cut polish. It's mid way between M105 and M205. I typically use it with a blue hex pad. I also like M205 on the blue pad.
