3D HD Polish with what Lake country pad??
I removed defects in the paint with HD Cut and the Lake country CCS orange pad. Now I am not sure if the HD Polish is a finishing polish or a semi cut polish. I have the CCS lake country white pad and black pad. I understand the orange is for more cutting, white polishing, black sealant/wax Which pad would you recommend to use with the HD Polish for the best final shine. Orange, white, black?
Thank you!

HD Polish has some cut to it, so the LC white pad will get you where you want to be. An LC black pad has zero cut, the only thing I really use it for is Menzerna 4000 or 4500 (now Menz 3500/3800 respectfully).

I've used HD-P with a BL/W/O pads. For finishing I would use BL or W.

HD Cut leaves a pretty nice finish and only requires minimal refinement to make perfect with HD Polish. I wouldn't use anything softer than a white pad. And if the finish is hard, don't be surprised if an orange pad works great too.

Re: 3D HD Polish with what Lake country pad??
When I first started out with HD Polish, I used Lake Country tangerine Hydro-tech pads. Please see the following thread for results:

I am using Buff & Shine pads now but plan to re-visit Lake Country to see what has changed lately.

Not to hijack but what size LC white pad and back plate is recommended for a PC7424? And which white pad as their appears to be a few different style of white pads.

I'd go with a 5" backing plate and a 5.5" pad with a PC. As far as which white pad from LC, take your pick of styles: Flat, CCS, Hybrid, or my new favorite and current recommendation- Thinpro pads. All of these lines offer white pads that are similar in composition. If by the off chance you're going with Hydrotech, the tangerine is the one that takes the place of the white ones.

You should probably do a test spot to see which one works the best for you on that particular paint. Someone on the internet telling you what to use is just guessing. Educated or not you never know till you do your test spot
