    Hybrid V7 Over Power Lock

I detailed by car last week with the following (probably way way overkill) regimen:

    1. Citrus Wash & Gloss two bucket wash at 5 oz/5 gal
    2. Iron X & Rinse
    3. Clay Bar
    4. CG Blacklight
    5. Jescar Power Lock Plus
    6. (The next day) CG Hybrid V7

Interestingly, the Hybrid v7 seemed to dull the shine that Power Lock had left behind. All I was able to find from searching this (wonderful) forum and the web was a single Amazon review saying that they didn't play well together, but no real explanation as to why.
really slick and leaves a really nice shine despite little hype online).

    Thanks for your insight!

Did you let the Power Lock cure for 12 hours with no moisture?

I did. I actually gave it a bit longer, closer to 20-24 hours.

Benefit to Power Lock Plus over Jet Seal??
I see you're using CG Blacklight and Hybrid V7....just curious why you went with Power Lock Plus versus Jet Seal? Was it the price?

Personally I never top any LSP with any detailing spray after initial application of the LSP. I have 2 gallons of V-7, it's nothing more that a quick wipe detailing spray, calling it a sealant is definitely a stretch.

Now on the other hand, Blackfire Carnauba Spray Wax, which by the way is on sale right now, that's some serious stuff!

Jet seal looks great for the 3 days it lasts...... Power lock lasts. (just my .02)

Actually, when I first received the car, I sealed it with two layers of JetSeal and it was great. The price difference is pretty negligible, but I'd heard such amazing things about Power Lock on this forum (and lukewarm things about JetSeal), I figured it was worth the shot. And I have to say, the initial shine from Power Lock (before Hybrid V7) was great--much superior to JetSeal. It also rained today and the water beading is pretty solid, so maybe the Power Lock protection is intact, just the shine has left.

Maybe it was because I doubled up on the layers, but it lasted for 5 months.

Great tip, may pick some up right now. Can the BF Carnuba Spray Wax be applied to a wet surface? Always a fan of products that can--seems to help drying and add lubrication.
(p.s. I've read many of your posts and they're always helpful, thanks for guiding me through this)
