Re: Battery Tender Plus ring terminals won't fit
Just put some larger ring terminals on the battery tender. That's what I had to do on my 4th gen F-body with side terminals. I don't like using the clamps since they can easily be knocked off the battery. I've installed the Battery Tender quick disconnect on every battery in my two cars, truck, and waverunner. I also have the 12' and 25' extension cords.

Yeah that's what I'll be doing too (same car). I just think it's retarded that I have to hack up brand new equipment.

You have another choice, you can always buy another vehicle with a more compatible battery.

Compatible with what? Did not say anywhere this sight or the packaging that it only fits certain cars. If a TL is more applicable then no thanx.

Compatible with a Tender. Everything we buy doesn't fit everything we own. I've hooked up BT harnesses to every bike I've owned and used the alligators on numerous vehicles and ran into the same problem. Sometimes you just gotta find a workaround or try another product. Some standardization amongst manufacturers would be a good thing.
The car-replacement suggestion was merely pointing out, facetiously, you have other options. Drastic? Certainly. But an option nonetheless. I replaced a bike battery for one with different terminals because I couldn't hook up the pigtail to it and I also wanted to use it to power heated clothes via the same pigtail.
Another thought, have you tried contacting Deltran for their thoughts on a workaround? You can't be the only one that's ever ran into this problem. Never know, they may have developed another method of connection for situations like yours.

If you looked at the links I provided, you'd see that you don't have to hack anything.

I'm looking into these.
Wouldn't that be alot easier than converting my battery terminals to posts and then converting my battery cables to clamps for those posts??
