    Question C-6 Vette owner's question

Iknow this is pure idiocy, but I can't figure out how to reset my clock. I have nav and it seems like it should be very obvious...
Then, my nav gets all the commands wrong. I read the book, but I think I am missing something.
    Help, anyone?
    Many thanks,
Lauren (maybe being female you will cut me a bit of slcak here - no offense intended to the women smarter than me who did it right the first time, unlike me!!!

Ok, found the answer from the manual.

    Adjusting the time
Important:time is automatically set by a GPS signal. Following a battery disconnect, a GPS signal is needed to set the time. If no time is displayed, move the vehicle to a clear view of the sky (away from tall buildings or trees).
    To adjust the time:
1.Press the (It looks like a music note)/[] hard key.
    2.Touch the clock icon button.
    3. Touch the appropriate time zone screen button.
    4. When in effect, touch the daylight savings screen button.
    5. Press the GPS time screen button to reset radio time to GPS time.
    6. Press the SRCE key to return to the audio system controls.

    Hope that works!

    Hi ltoman,

Have you ever checked out the corvette forum? This site is awesome for corvette owners. You can check forums related specifically to C6s.

    Hi RV1999,
Nice to hear from you. (Btw, your doggie is adorable!!)
    I take it you have a '99 C5?
I am so dumb sometimes, and I am totally new to Vettes. I will go look at the corvette forum; thanks much for the link!!! Are you on there as well?
Nice to see fellow "vetters" helping one another out!!
    Happy Thanksgiving!!

    Talking

Thanks for the warm welcome! Don't worry about not knowing much about your car. When I purchased my corvette, I had never worked on a car before. After finding the corvette forum, I purchased tools from sears and replaced my entire suspension with a ZO6 suspension. The guys on the Corvette Forum have saved me tons of money by answering questions that a GM technician would charge out the butt for.

Regarding my dog, that is Lady B. Unfortunately she went to doggy heaven six weeks ago. I am still devastated. I am not a dog person, but have always wanted an English Bulldog. Bertha turned out to be the sweetest love monger I have ever met! She provided me with seven years of unconditional love, hopefully I was able to make her feel the same way.

Hope you enjoy the Corvette Forum! I am on there, but not as much as I used to be. I found this site, because I am looking for detailing information for my Vette. After years of modifying my car, it is time to stop neglecting the exterior.

Let me know if you have any question, I will be glad to help!

    Wink

    BTW...

I am horrible when it comes to creativity and trying to figure out a username. RoadVette1999 is a mix between my Harley Davidson Road King Classic and my navy blue convertible Corvette, which are both 99s.

Have you been on this forum long? Any suggestions about products? I do have a Porter Cable buffer, but I am lost when it comes to car care products. I had used Zano Brothers in the past, which worked incredibly well, but it is time consuming and quite a chore. Any suggestions?

    Happy Thanksgiving to you too!
