Does anyone use floor mat hangers? Is there a cheaper DIY method?
I just insulated and drywalled my garage where I do a majority of my detailing work. Need something to hang floor mats while they dry and am considering these...
Is there a cheaper, DIY alternative? For what it's worth, I do like the look(very professional) but hard to justify the cost.

I use these cheapo clamps from Harbor Freight... luckily i have a 4' chain link fence (upper horizontal pipe) on my property line that i use to clamp my mats to while drying. Works perfect and they have never failed me.

I take two Bessey (any brand will do) 3" spring clamps (similar to the one here but all metal), drill a 3/8" hole in one handle and lash them together with a heavy tie wrap and hang them that way. Tie wraps are cheap and I just snip them and discard if I need the clamps for something else.

Kleen-Rite sells those mat clamps if your interested. I've bought a lot (hose reel, custom length PW hose, fittings) from them in the past and they are great to deal with.

Thanks all for the feedback. Sure wish my garage looked like Jeremy1976's - floor drain, good lighting, etc. Gotta step up my game LOL! Living in the upper midwest, detailing is a seasonal occupation(spring through fall) for me.
