Larry over at ammo nyc did a restoration like this which was a major overhaul and large scale. Nice job with the smaller space though. My garage cant even fit a car but I would love to have floors like that instead of weird linoleum

I looked at race deck, swiss track, etc: I really didn't like how hollow and clacky sounding they are. That's really it.
Geeze, you can't argue with that. Yeah, I've heard that about the tiles before, I didn't notice it too much in the Autogeek Show Car Garage but then, I was only there for a couple of days.

That works out pretty reasonable, & with a lifetime warranty its actually a real bargain. Even converting it to NZ dollars its still pretty sharp on price.

I'm looking at doing it myself due to cost. I think the stuff I can get is not as good as what the pros use. And then of course I have all the inevitable mistakes to deal with.

I looked at swiss track, race deck etc also. Ease of installation is great. But what happens to all the water that will get trapped under those tiles? Would much rather have something I can easily sweep or vacuum. And mop.

Rippy, look on garage journal forums.com if you haven't, there is a ton of info there on their flooring area. You may be able to find some 'pro' stuff there and do it yourself.

Thanks. Comparing it to the Racedeck free-flow flooring. I'll likely epoxy the permiter of the garage where all my cabinets, work benches and fridge/freezers are. I'm going to lay 2' wide indoor/outdoor grey carpet along the back where the entry to the house is as that's where the above all is. This will allow us to walk out there and be on it vs hard cold flooring. It never gets wet that far up even when I'm washing my cars. the rest will be RaceDeck. By doing the "central" area it will cost less and make installation easier. The free-flow is nice because here we get snow and it would enable me to keep the floor dry and yet it would drain out the garage in the summer. Wanted to compare the two costs.

    Thanks for sharing.

Another dangerous place that will suck the free time right out of you. Over there occasionally for tool discussions. Will take a look at floor options.

Same, however by the time you rent a diamond grinder, do proper prep work, and buy a really good epoxy, you'll find that you probably aren't going to save much over paying someone. At least, that's been my finding so far.

    Re: Autodermatology's garage project!!!

Nice garage! Im planning on doing some remodeling to mine as well. I noticed you have the side moubted garage door opebers which I am planning to get instead of the traditional ceiling mounted ones. How do you like it compared to the ceiling ones? Also, is it a Liftmaster?
