Re: Essence / HD speed
I sympathesize with you. I have a white car and really want it to pop. I used Optimum hyper polish ( white and orange pads) followed by PNS. For a white car, the secret is contrast; make the white as white as possible and the black as black as possible.
The Hyper Polish is super easy to use..the PNS is a little tricky.

Reading over Mike`s comments on jeweling wax he answered my question on light / colored cars and trying to get the perfect shine. White is hard to get the pop / shine and he talked about using a quality AIO to get it there.
So I was thinking of HD speed or Essence I bought these over the holidays along with other HD / Car-pro products...
Your thoughts and advice please for a weekend detailer
HDSpeed with green pads. Simple and very effective for what you describe. Not the longest lasting sealer but it works. If you're looking for a real pop out of the paint, I would follow it with a nice quality glaze like White Light and then top it off with a strong sealer.

ESSENCE!
Nothing comes close to it!
I'm done with wax or sealants. They are all going in the trash.

No problem I'm glad you wnjoyed.
Yes it was a lake country thinpro white polishing pad.
I feel that got the best results of all 4 pads I tested.
The finishing pads I tried microfiber finishing, and foam finishing.
The microfiber finishing left micro marring, but corrected better then the foam finishing, the foam finishing finished better but didn't correct as well.
Remember if your going to use Essence as a one step use a foam pad.
If your going to do a multi step correction, it doesnt make much sense to use Essence with a microfiber cutting pad, then essence with a foam polishing pad.
Use the normal compound you like, then essence as a finishing polish.
But essence really shines as a finishing polish, or a beautiful one step.
