Yea... My only concern is that you may be rushing things a bit? As far as the clay, you want to make more of a pancake disk out of it intead of the tootsie roll/twinkie you're working with there😊
Have you clayed the entire car? It's ok to take your time with the clay process and make sure to be liberal with the lubricant spray as you're using it.
As far as the wax, yes it's easy. No need for heavy buffing off either. Just smooth as butter.

Im having a hard time seeing what you're describing as far as any fuzziness in the paint. Pearl white [just like my light metalic green] can be nearly impossible to capture in photos. But it doesnt look bad, I can see that. Plus white is really really forgiving when it comes to little imperfections. That's a good thing.

So how big a pancake should it be? I think it makes about a 4" circle. But then tends to bunch up.

The whole car???
Heavens no!
I did the roof--well, the 3/4 or so that doesn't have vinyl. OK, and the pillars.
I'm hoping for the hood, and maybe the trunk tomorrow, and then on to side panels one at a time.

Wow. Almost makes me feel guilty

There is a circle of light about the same size and the image from the LEDs. I'm not quite sure how it's forming; I'm assuming that it's reflecting from layer below the clear coat, given the way it moves.

Mini pancake. Like no bigger than a slider🍔
Similar to the ammount you were working with, just flatter so it glides across with less chance of downward pressure.

OK, flatter it is.
It appears I'll need to order the rinseless wash fluid.
Do I need to do anything to wipe dust or pollen before using it, or is keeping it waxed and using that kind of fluid with microfiber enough to safely remove dust?

I just bought almost $200 of assorted bits from your list. Oddly, there doesn't seem to be a spray bottle for the rinseless wash, but I got them of the others.
Then again, I tend to shop at costco instead of sams club largely because of the larger sizes

No pre wiping needed. Just make a spray bottle of your solution to spray each panel prior to waiping. What I do is spray the whole side of the car then follow up with my rinseless towel[s]
Research the Gary Dean Wash Method. That's how you're going to want to do it.

Did you order a waffle weave drying towel? If not you can stop by your local Oreillys and pick up a Viking Waffle Weave Drying Towel. Should work just fine for your drying towel while doing a rinseless wash.
