What do you use 303 Aerospace Protectant for?

    Hey guys,

I picked up 2 32 oz bottles of 303 Aerospace protectant over black friday and it arrived today

What do you guys use it for?

I was wondering if I could use it in the following areas:

    1. Window and windshield black rubber trim

    2. Black plastic trim around the car (exhaust diffuser, front air intake grille, black plastic side skirs etc. )

    3. Side steps on my dads car

    4. Wheel wells

Can it be used on these areas and if so, how would I apply it to the above mentioned areas?

Applicator pad and then dry using a towel? What about the wheel wells?

I also thought about using it on the interior but I'll stick to my meguairs interior products after reading a lot of negative reviews of 303 on the interiors.

    Thanks

I use it on my weather stripping, to preserve them.

I use it on interior plastic trim and on coated leather during the summer months for the UV protection. Use it on anything you think will need protection from fading and cracking. Can tend to be a bit greasy feeling after application so I avoid the steering wheel and tires.

What could I use for that purpose Bob? The black plastic on the side steps seem to be fading a little bit and I've seen people who restore it nicely in some "show and shine" posts.

I'm not sure what the term weather stripping means, my bad. Is it the black rubber like trim around windows and windshield on the outside of the car?

Awesome thanks, I hope it works on the soft touch plastics in the VW golf but will avoid the dash, steering and tyres

I only use it on surfaces that don't contact the exterior: dashboard, seats, doors, luggage cover, engine.

My cars are almost always indoors: only when I am on my summer holidays I tend to make use of it.
