RV Detailer Wanted - Fort Pierce, Florida

RV Detailer Wanted - Fort Pierce, Florida

Local guy looking for someone to detail his RV. If interested shoot me a PM and I'll put you in contact with him.

I get e-mails, PM's and FB messages all the time with questions that are better asked and then answered on this forum for a host of reason. One reason is more eyeballs see the questions and answers so more people are helped versus one set of eyeballs in an e-mail, PM or FB message.

    Hello Mike,

I live up in Ft Pierce and am looking for a quality detailer, either mobile or shop, to detail my personal light color RV . Could be from Vero to Stuart

It needs to be compounded, then waxed

My background is auto wholesaler, but retired, so I have experience with detailing.

I would like the detailer to use the two step 3M products, rubbing compound perfect it machine polish perfect it, and then a coat of Collinite paste wax

I am also very familiar with Kar Kraft Products, they are out of Mass, and have used there products in the past, and are also extremely good, but are not available in Fl.

Your welcome to share your thoughts on either lamb wools, or foam pad for the job. Also I am open to hear your thoughts on products you may recommend

The body is Fiberglass, and the front end is auto metal.
Actually its one of those RV's on a Sprinter chassis 24 ft

Your also welcome to use it in your detail school, as a project for your students to learn on, of course, if instructor is supervising

    Thanks
    Joe

Anytime you buff and finish with any type of fiber pad and especially any type of fiber pad on a rotary buffer the chances are very good you will leave holograms in the finish.

If a person doesn't care about holograms then there's no problem. If a person doesn't what their project all swirled-out with holograms then I'd recommend finishing with a foam pad and also using some type of dual action polisher for the second step.

The process would look like this,

First step = Compound with wool pad on rotary buffer.
Second step = Polish with foam pad on dual action polisher.
Third step = Machine apply wax.

I appreciate the offer adn your trust in the Autogeek name. At this time I don't have any projects coming up that require an RV. I'd suggest moving forward with getting the RV detailed by a pro detailer.

    Hope this helps...

If Joe would be open to having his detailer use an up-and-coming product line (take a guess ) I will gladly provide chemicals, pads, etc to whoever is interested in taking on this project. In return you would need to take photos and do a write up on the forum when the new products launch in a few months.

Thanks Mike for responding to my email, and posting my inquiry to you here in the forum. Also for the additional info you included...Much appreciated !!

Nick thank you for the offer, now all we need is someone to take up your offer, as I have no issues using products your developing and bringing to market.

I own a Flex LK 603VE rotary buffer. If we get no one interested I'll take on the job, but would need to rent/borrow a DA polisher. I have detailed in the past, but not as a professional, enough to get my vehicle's to high line auctions, and sold. Hopefully someone will be interested, as I 'll do it as a last resort.

Hopefully someone will be able to step up and help you out Joe. If you end up going forward on your own, I would grab the Flex 3401 as it offers forced rotation Which will greatly help you out when polishing out your RV.

Wow, what an offer! That is incredible.

Perhaps RV51 is the upcoming line.

    Hey Joe,

My good friend Jeff Bell is your guy. Jeff is an accomplished, professional detailer. Here's his contact information.

He's helped out here on a lot of our Thursday night detailing projects where we tackle all kinds of vehicles. He's very good with a rotary buffer and a dual action polisher.

    Update project complete

Thank you Mike for referring Jeff

If anyone is looking for professional detailer on the Treasure Coast Jeff is your man. He also travels to Palm Beach. I am sure folks have heard the saying, **if you want the job done wright do it your self,** well that's how Jeff works. He a perfectionist.
    The detail consisted of:
    1) Complete wash (took 4 hrs)
    2) Compound
    3) Polish
    4) 2yr Sealant
