    Rupes LHR75E mini

Hi Mike, I have an off the wall question for you if you have time. Just bought a Rupes LHR75E mini. I thought it would be a little smaller than it is and compared to my PC7425 it is even bigger. So now I am wonder if I could install the LHR15ES 5" (4-7/8) backing pad on my mini and use larger foam pads as this machine seems to be a lot more powerful than my PC. Do you think I would be ok with this and would not need to change the counterweight? Thanks for any time your can spare as well as your thoughts/recommendations.
    All the best,
    Pete

You cant use the rupes 5" BP on the mini. That's what the Duetto is for

But the rupes 4" pads are really 5". They are 4" where it attaches and 5" where it touches the paint.

Just use 3inch pads for it, way safer. Use the Duetto or a small body entry line DA for the 5" inch pads.

I just measured one of my Rupes 4" pads they are 3" inches across the velcro side and across the pad face it measured 3-3/4" inches.

I also use buff and shine 4" pads on my mini for applying waxes and sealants

My bad, the Rupes measurements are always confusing me (7" pad on 6" BP etc). For some reason I thought it was a 4" polisher but its 3".

I use LC 3 inch pads on my Mini. Very happy.

I've blown out a lot of 3" LC pads on my mini, you gotta run em slow or the heat and vibration kills them compared to the Rupes pads. I like the Rupes pads as they are very durable and I've been testing the B & S 4" pads but nothing holds up for multiple uses like the Rupes 4" pads.
