How to Prime a LC CCS Pad

So I ordered some of the Lake Country CCS pads this week. I am wondering if you have to do anything differently to a Lake Country CCS pad as opposed to a regular or Hex foam pad?

For regular pads you put a small amount of product, either in a circle or X in the pad. With the CCS pads they hold more product and release it during the working process. So do you have to really load the pad and spread the product around so it goes into the "holes" or what? Or do you put the same amount of product on a CCS pad as you would, and in the same circle or X pattern, with a foam or Hex pad?

They process is the same. I prefer Buff & Shine over LC IMO they are just more durable. Hex Logic are made by Buff & Shine for CG.
Just follow the polish/Compound priming directions some are different. I do an X and spread it over as evenly and as thin as I can get it across the face of the pad.
Compounds with muscle like M101 and FG400 I use less. I actually prefer using much less to prime with SMAT compounds and give the pad a spritz of distilled h2o to assist in priming.

I like to start with five small dots just inside the perimeter of the pad - avoiding the dimples, and go with anywhere from one to three dots of product from that point on.

I also find that using less product overall, increases performance.

Thanks for your answers to my question. I guess I will be testing the pads a bit when I get them to see how the results I can get with the products.

The thing is what works best for you. Using a pad conditioner, priming the pad, whatever, just don't put a dry pad to the paint.
