Paint Decontamination Question
To decontaminate paint I currently use ONR as a wash, Iron-X, and Pinnacle clay with ONR at lube strength. I am also experimenting with Optimum's "Eraser".
As I understand it, I can use Nanoskin's Autoscrub System to replace both Iron-X and any claying process or Optimum's eraser. Is that correct? And, is there anything especially significant about Nanoskin's "Nano Shock Instant Lubricant Sealant"? Or can I continue to use something like ONR at lubricant strength?
Thx

Re: Paint Decontamination Question
Nanoskin does not replace Iron-X, it does replace the clay though. For lube I have used ONR solely personally, Nanoskin does actually recommend Glide as the lubricant which is fairly affordable as well. I also use ONR closer to QD strength as it seems much smoother.
It's all in the details

Re: Paint Decontamination Question
Here's an article I wrote with some info on Iron X and some amazing pictures showing Iron X at work not just on paint but on glass too...
What is Iron X and why should I use it?

Just a word of warning - make sure your nanoskin autoscrub mitt/towel/sponge doesn't make contact with bug & tar remover. In my experience, it almost instantly made my mitt useless.

Re: Paint Decontamination Question
Hey Guys, thanks for the information and for correcting my misunderstandings. I'll continue to use Iron-X and a claying process.
