Wolfgant Sealant after a layer of wax?
I recently ran into an issue with the Wolfgang Deep gloss Sealant:
After spending a long day with prep work getting all of the swirls out using the Wolfgang products (swirl remover & glaze), when it came to putting the sealant on I noticed that the liquid and oil had separated, no matter how much I shaked bottle they continued to be separated. I haven't used the product for 6 months but it was stored in room temp; I guess it had gone bad. So I put a layer of Pinnacle Souveran on but I would really like to put the sealant. I have ordered a new bottle of sealant, my question is can I put it directly on the wax or do I need to remove the wax first? do I need to redo the glaze again?
Thanks in advance!

Remove the the wax first. No need for WG finishing glaze...

You can put it over the wax, I do it all the time on my car. Those type of sealants are like 12% mineral spirits they will cut right through the wax no problem.

Interesting. (Both the 12% mineral spirits; and cut right through wax observations.)
But...Where does the Wax go?
-Is it all removed at the same time when wiping-off WGDGPS' "haze"?
-Commingles with WGDGPS?
-None of the above.
-OK...then: Other?
Thanks.

My guess would be that it is removed with the haze and some comingles. Refined mineral spirits is common to many of these lsp's, so I wouldn't get to hung up over wax over sealant or sealant over wax. MSDS sheet for four star upp list mineral spirits at 12% if I remember correctly and in my opinion four star is probably the manufacturer of auto geeks house brand sealants, thus 12% is my estimate for wolfgang sealant.

For all practical purposes the wax layer will be compromised and will mix somewhat with the sealant. Certainly some of this "mixture" will come off when you wipe with a microfiber but essentially you are going to have a hybrid sealant/wax LSP that won't last very long. My guess is less than 8 weeks but that is just a gut response.
As to the original bottle that won't combine.... as a last-ditch-effort I would put a stirrer of some sort to the bottom of the bottle and see if any accumulation of product is simply settled. Mix that up a little with the stirrer and then shake vigorously on and off for a day. You may or may not see progress. Worst case is you get a really good workout on your arms.

Isn't 4* one of Premium Finish Care's "house brands"?

Premium finish care has their on manufacturing facilities making their own house brands including 4 star. Auto geek has their own house brands manufactured by premium finish care. In other words auto geek re labels. Just my opinion of course. try getting an msds for auto geeks sealants, next to impossible hmmm, I wonder why?

Recently...
Some people are even saying that DuraGloss (Brothers Research) manufactures AutoGeek's Pinnacle Black Label's Paint Coating...

BTW, I dont think your bottle went bad. It should last years. You just need to shake it like you've never shook it before. I have a 3 year old bottle of Wolfgang, once I shake the hell out of it, it is fine again. Just have patience and shake, no need for another bottle.
Back to the full-time grind.
