I have a 13 year old black truck. Last year I got into detailing and did a full detail:
Wash, clay, DA: Meg's Ultimate Compound, then Ultimate Polish, followed by Ultimate Wax.
Truck looked great and I was happy......until winter. There was salt on the roads almost all winter and I don't have a garage. So the options were: Carwash (brushless, but it touches) or Touchless Carwash. Since it was freezing, I decided to go with the brushless carwash to get the salt off and had to do so a few times (Touchless would have removed my sealant and it was too cold to re-apply it). FYI- there are no coin-op carwashes in my area, otherwise I woulda brought my 2 buckets....
Now the weather is getting nice and I'm all swirled up and can't stand it. I am thinking of doing another paint correction, but should I go with a "Coating" so I can use Touchless carwashes and wouldn't need to worry about re-applying a sealant?
