April 17th 1964!! I was almost 4 yrs old!! My 1st drive in a Mustang was a 1968 Ford Mustang when I lived in Korea I was about 8yrs old. Today My 2013 Mustang GT keeps my dream alive.
Thank you Ford for making the Greatest Pony Car!! Happy 50!!
-I'm glad that so many people, and their families, have benefitted from receiving a living-wage from The Ford Motor Company, while building Mustangs.
(I hope there will always be remembrances of those that have died fighting, so others would have those living wages.)
-I'm also glad to say that, even including today:
I have never sat in, driven, or otherwise been inside a Mustang.
Not my cup-o'-tea.

I watched a show on NBC about them reenacting on top of the Empire State building with the Mustang, and Bill Ford is the executive chairman and the great-grandson of Henry Ford.
There was a prototype on Display at Barrett Jackson that had such horrendous interior quality, it was visible through the windows. They better get that sorted out or the 50th Anniversary will be laughable. But yes, its great that Americans still build cars that are genuinely American and unlike anything else made in the world.
