    Detailing a Delorean???

So I was talking to my friend whos uncle has a delorean, you know the back to the future car. Well after talking to him about my future mobile detailing plans he asked me "how would you detail a neglected Delorean?" trying to test my knowledge obviously because thats how this friend is. But it got me thinking... I never thought about "what if a person had a delorean that needed detailed"

So my question to you Mike, or any one else who has worked on one, how do you detail a delorean and restore the original brushed look to the body panels?

The professionals that worked at the factory used a roll sander to get the factory finish and eliminate all the non linear scratching. Then the stainless surface is wiped down with an oil that the factory used. It may have been a mineral oil. Then the surface was rubbed down.

You cannot duplicate the factory surface finish with any kind of polisher, DA or rotary. If it isn't sanded with a linear sander it looks like crap.

When washing/drying, wipe in a linear fashion only

The Scotch Brite/stainless cleaner is obviously easier, but how would a long board sander fare?
