Gelcoat Sealant
Im purchasing a boat in the next week or two. The gelcoat is not faded too bad, so im trying to determine which marine 31 product to buy. I already have all the foam pads you could possibly want plus turkish hd wool pad (to use with rupres 21lhr) and I also have a standard wool pad with the makita 9227. The boat was always stored indoors but unfortunatley, that is not going to be the case for me. When I owned my boat 3 years ago (prior to autogeek) I used everything under the sun including "garrys". I've tried mutliple off brands (wont say their name) but no matter what the gelcoat always faded. I even went as far as wetsanding the entire boat. No wax seemed to protect it properly. Can I use something like, opicoat or pinnacle blacklabel to provide sufficent protection for a summer without worrying about fading? Im not so sure the marine carnuba/sealant is going to do it.
