    Micro fiber washing

I am curious on why in Mike p. book he recommends not washing micro fiber rags that have been used on waxes not washed with ones used on compounds. I am wanting to separate the rags after using in separate bins but want to do as few loads as possible. Can anyone tell me the purpose of this separation? And how many category's or bins to separate me into? Thanks

The reason why you separate your microfiber towels is because of cross contamination.you do not want the old wax residue mixing with old compound residue. and how many bins you separate your microfiber is your choice i personally separate my MF in 7 bins( interior, wax, sealant, Tires and engine, exterior wiping, compound, glaze) good luck

While it is probably a good idea, I haven't found it necessary. If I do a full detail where I have towels with various residues, I will pre-soak them all together for 30 minutes in hot water and BF APC before I put them in the wash. I haven't had any issues personally.

I am new to the true Detailing, but my Auto Body Shop Family laughed/giggled that I had my Towels color coordinated.

My tire rags do not touch my paint Microfiber Towels.

Ehh.. Who knows I could be wrong
