    white stuff on cleaned wheels!!

so i went out and cleaned my wheels with Meguiar's All Wheel cleaner and after i dried, it had like white spots all over the wheel!! i don't know if its the cleaner as being too acidic or its just the wheel that needs better maintenance!

Sometimes if you allow a stronger wheel cleaner to dwell on the wheel for too long, or it dries on the wheel, or it is sprayed on a hot wheel the cleaner can etch into the wheel's clear coating and a lot of the time it will have a white-ish look to it. This however is typically not little round spots but rather in the shape of sags or streaks depending on the cling-ability of the wheel cleaner. If the cleaner is more of a thicker gel type cleaner, that's when it can look like sags. The thinner the cleaner is you'll more likely have thinner run marks or streak marks from allowing it to dwell too long.

polish it off with some of your favorite polish either by hand or get a power cone or other wheel polishing attachment for a drill.

    +1

If using a powerball/cone type tool, be careful of the corners and raised edges, tool speed.

This happened on my dads Chevy. The clear coat was kind of peeling and it got behind it and stained it. Nothing I could do.
