Just bought a black car , ughhhhhh ... Whats the best way to maintain ?

I just sold my wrangler a few days ago which was bright white. I always kept it clean and it looked great
2 bucket methd ,Washed with megs ultimate wash/wax with a griots microfiber wash pad.. dried with absorber ... waxed with megs gold class .. and maintained with spray detailer and megs ultimate spray wax with a plush microfiber detail cloth from auto zone ( 2 for 7bux)....never say swirls or anything

Well now i bought a black G35 coupe and using that same method is not working as good .. the wash is great but i feel like the absorber is creating some light scratches in the paint ,, waxing is fine BUT Another big problem is the days after when it has dust on it and i want to use the detailer/spray wax .... i feel like the microfiber cloths im using might be scratching as well ...

So my question is ... whats is the best way to maintain a black car ...
the products im using seem to be fine but what should i dry with that wont cause scratches and what should i dust and clean with when detailing and spray waxing?

First off, nice car. The microfibers that you are using are marring and instilling scratches in your finish. Get quality microfibers. The key to keeping up a great finish is to touch the paint as least as possible. Wash your car using the 2 bucket method, start your drying process by sheeting and then use a leaf blower to blow off what's left of water on the vehicle. That's how you maintain a cars finish especially dark colors like black.

What I am saying is that if you have to touch the paint, do it with high quality microfibers not the autozone stuff. Do a search on it. However with dark colored cars especially black some of the ways to avoid touching the paint is to dry using sheeting to help dry after a wash and finish with a leaf blower or metro vac blower.

I did not take it as you being smirk. I was answering your question and sometimes the tone of the written word is in the readers mind set. I have a Crimson Black vehicle. It's a color that is black at night, purple on gloomy days and dark metallic red in the bright sun. It is not chameleon. It has all the difficulties of having a black car. I just polished it last weekend since I got it 2 months ago and now it's weekly maintenance washes using a method where I touch the vehicle as little as possible. Here's what she looks like when I was finished (reflection of the driver's side door):

I like to sheet as much of the Ayer off and blot the rest with a MF. Come back with a good detailer to wipe of the marks.

ok , not sure the leaf blower option is gonna happen lol , so what quality microfiber cloth do you guys recommend for drying? Are the griot microfibers ok ? i can get those at auto zone?

also should i use a different kind of microfiber towel for quick detailing/dusting?

Best way?
1. Good car cleaning shampoo
2. High quality microfiber towels.
3. Good paint sealant, Like wolfgang deep gloss paint sealant.
4. Good paste wax, like Collinite Marque D’Elegance Carnauba Paste Wax #915, car wax, paste auto wax
or Chemical guys 5050 wax or many others
