Pinnacle Bodywork or XMT Shampoo?
I was planning on getting some car shampoo and was wondering what is the difference between Pinnacle Bodywork and XMT Shampoo & Conditioner? I have used the Bodywork and like it very well.....Is the XMT line more for commercial use? I get a little confused between the two lines...is Pinnacle more of a "show car" line?.....Any feedback would be great....thanks.....

The only comment I have is that I **love** the coconut smell of the Pinnacle Shampoo. If I could, I'd dip my dust masks in it for when I work on the house.

Neither.
Chemical Guys wash and gloss, you won't be disappointed.

I would be careful with wash and gloss, it is a powerful shampoo. It is a paint cleanser, basically it washes off old waxes, sealants and non permanent LSPs.
pick a pH neutral one such as
citruswash
Glossworkz
Honeydew
These ones will yield some great results
Pinnacle and xmt are good soaps, but they're pretty generic and are not as purpose focused as others

XMT is a very nice soap. If I had to choose between XMT and Pinnacle I would pick XMT. It cleans and rinses well and leaves a nice shine at 1 oz to 3 gallons.

I am not so sure I believe that. I applied Wolfgang Deep Gloss Sealant about a year ago and it still beads.
Maybe you used too much soap, in that case anything would strip the wax.

Thats actually incorrect. All of the soaps I mentioned are all pH neutral and safe on all LSP's. Please go and read the description on the bottle. Its called a "surface prepping paint work cleanser". It is not pH neutral, therefore it strips the surface of grease, wax, and sealants.
Basically you use it once to prep the surface, apply your LSP, then use a pH neutral shampoo and a QD to maintain the surface.
Now WDGPS will not last a year, maybe 4 months at best, keep in mind water beads on unsealed surfaces too. Best way to test, go and rub your finger hard, back and forth along the surface while its wet. If it makes a squeaky sound, there is nothing there.

Not sure what to tell you except that I am the one that washes the car and sees the results. You are welcome to come here and perform your "squeaky finger test" the next time I wash my car.
I can only report on my experience. Clearly you have a different experience but that does not mean it's the rule.
