That looks like regular old plastic trim like most vehicles. The funny thing is i did a google image search on your car and some models appear to have your "fake" chrome and others have basic black trim. I think a simple way to test it would be to get some cheap Armor All and try a small spot on the trim, if it darkens its more than likely plastic. If it doesnt do anything its probably faded chrome trim im guessing.
