1969 chevelle SS
A client of ours wants us to detail his orange 1969 chevelle ss I have never worked with older vehicles so any advise or feedback would be appreciated The vehicle does have minor imperfections nothing bad at all
What do yall think of this:
Meguiar's Ultra Cut Compound M105 ccs orange
Meguiars Mirror Glaze #105 ccs white
P21S Carnauba

Is the paint original or a newer color coat clear coat paint.
Do you have any photos to show us the condition of the paint?

The car had been restored and was repainted unfortunately the owner doesn't know what kind of paint or clear was used.

Even though it's a classic Chevelle SS, the paints new and that's what you're working on.
Since you don't know if it's single stage or color coat / clear coat, take some Meguiar's M205 in a cloth and rub it lightly in a circular motion and see if the color transfers to the cloth. If it does then it's single stage, if not then it's the new color coat / clear coat..
I suspect it a 2 stage paint.
If you're working with Meguiar's M105, Richy posted a valuable video you might find helpful.
Richy's M105 video (no dusting technique)
Start using Meguiar's M205 with the White foam pad and gauge your results. If you find you need a more aggressive approach then use Meguiar's M105 and your Orange foam pad...
