I have removed scratches (branch scuff/scratches) with the Meg's MF cutting pad and D300.

ok cool but what type of machine did you use ? I was wondering if anyone basically has done a whole car with the Griot's 3 inch Orbital to remove swirl marks and light scratches?

    thanks for your input

She meant the GG 3"...she was helping me when my mother drove through some brush after our Oct. 29 storm. Not sure how much correction you're going to get with 4" foam and it's sure going to take a long time to do the whole car, but one does what one has to when equipment problems happen.

PS I've heard you might be able to get a G110 at Wal-Mart...or you could get up early and drive down to AG and get a new machine man...

From my experience the GG 3" buffer is not strong enough to spin the 4" pads correctly. Just my two cents

I've never tried it before but if that's the case maybe I should just put this detail off till I can fix my PC

You can do it but it will be one looooong day. As one other poster has said it would be a little quicker with a 3" m/f pad. It's like asking can swirls be removed by hand. The answer is also yes but it would take a ridiculous amount of time.I personally would ask to reschedule until the 6" machine can be fixed or replaced. Remember , work smart , not hard.

That's a shot in the dark, we have one unconfirmed report.

I'd put it off...a Suburban with a 4" pad is no fun, even on a PC. I agree the GG 3" is going to be wimpy with the 4", it barely gets by with the 3" foam, but it is fun on small areas with the MF pads.

^ that is a good idea. You will probably hate polishing the whole car with that polisher. It is only meant for smaller job like pillars, isolated scratches, headlights, etc...

Whats wrong with your PC anyways?
