Stain Removal
We got snow here in the North East today. In preparation, I took the tires off of my snowblower last evening and drove to a local gas station to top them off.
Issue: The snowblower tires left black grease stains on my tan weather tech cargo liner. I tried to remove these stains with APC and they did not budge. This is not a big deal and is in fact why I use a cargo liner but the detialer in me want to get rid of these stains.
Anu suggestions?

Michael, is this a plastic cargo liner? If so, try Zep purple at 4:1 or stronger. Be careful, it's very potent stuff!! It is a very strong degreaser.

Re: Stain Removal
Would not budge? Could be metal filings in the grease from the axle/bearings.

Re: Stain Removal
Thanks to all for the help. Richy - It is a plastic cargo liner and I will pick up some Zep purple as it sounds like it's time to add a degreaser to my detailing arsenal. Vegas - I hope that they are not metal filings - I will see how I do with the Zep. Thanks again guys.

Re: Stain Removal
Did not know the exact term but by filings I meant the black residue(?)
normally associated with bearings and shafts. Similar to the black residue one gets from polishing aluminum.

Follow-up. I got a bottle of Zep and it completely removed the stain. A big thanks to Richy - my cargo mat is stain free!

Glad to hear it buddy! I only ever recommend things that work for me. BTW, what ratio did you cut it at to work? 4:1 usually is all that's needed. The Zep Citrus is what I use to clean wheels and the Purple for tires. Their High Traffic Stain remover is a very potent carpet cleaner too. Their line is under-rated and very reasonably priced...especially when you can get it locally.

Hey Richy! You obviously love Zep products and everyone knows it lol Where should I look locally to pick it up? I've looked a handful of places but can never find any
