    Re: Outdoor Detailing

The new Megs Ultimate Paste Wax claims not to dry up even when applied under direct sunlight. I usually detail my car early in the morning, right beofre sunrise. By the time I remove the wax, there's enough sunshine to see the waxed areas.

Is a tent on bricks the best solution for a mobile detailer who needs shade?

Sounds like a big scratch waiting to happen. All it will take is one nice breeze and that thing is coming down if it's not secured to the bricks. My suggestion is to set up your canopy on a day with zero wind, set it with the legs centered on top of the cinder blocks and using a sharpie, mark the holes in the feet on the top of the cinder blocks. Get a masonry bit and then drill through the blocks where you marked the hole locations. Then you can set the canopy up on top of the blocks and then drop some bolts down through the canopy feet and through the blocks and hand tighten some nylock nuts on to the end of the bolts. This will take roughly 15 minutes to set up after the first time and will keep the canopy from being blown against the vehicle on a breezy day. A strong wind however will still cause you trouble.
