Used Car Dealer
I am a used car dealer and have traditionally paid for detailing of my vehicles or just washed cleaned and sold. We are moving to a new indoor facility that is further away from my trusted detailer. So I am looking at doing some of the work myself. We deal in mostly 2007 or newer Acura and Honda vehicles. We are a 100% indoor dealership as we generally have 15 or so high quality vehicles at any given time. I have little detailing experience other than tradition cleaning not detailing. Considering coming to your courses.
I am looking for two solutions
- A fast way to restore paint finishes on Acura MDX's, Odyssey Touring etc.....
- A non body shop alternative to repair deeper scratches that require touch ups etc
What polisher, pads, products, would you recommend for approx 4 or so cars a week? Do you teach or have a paint touch up solution?

Re: Used Car Dealer
It sounds like the Megs new mf system and some Dr. Colorchip.

I have not personally used this product but from what you said it sounds like what you want.
Meguiars DA Microfiber Correction System, paint polishing system, car polish, car detailing system, compounding system, remove scratches

I have used this and love it! Just takes a little technique the first time and then its easy. For metallic paints results may not be quite as perfect.
Dr. ColorChip Paint Chip Repair, repair paint chips, touch-up paint, Doctor Color-Chip Paint Chip Repair

How refreshing to have a used car dealer come to our forum to seek advice. This is a first I do believe.
I would get a Griots 6" DA along with a 5" and 3" backing plate
I would order as many of the following pads as you can afford at this time.
Surbuf Pads
Orange Foam
Yellow foam
Black foam
1 gallon Meguiars 105
1 gallon Meguirs 205
On the Surbufs, I would only order the 6.5" pads and use your factory Griots backing plate for those
As for the scratches....Dr Colorchip is a good idea. I would also consider you check out the Mirka/Trizact sanding disks.
Do you have an air commpressor?
Oh yea, welcome from Memphis

They don't cut (remove defects) as well as the Surbufs. The choice is yours

I think what your looking for is a pressure washer with an after market foam gun attachment. No?
