    Re: Rotary polisher pads

    Jeremy,

A rotary polisher is a very powerful tool. This power combined with a rotating foam pad and large surface area is the reason you find it difficult to control. Many here including myself find a rotary polisher allot more friendly when switching to a smaller diameter pad.

I use Lake Country Kompressor pads exclusively on my rotary polishers and find they work very well. Make sure you keep enough product on the pad so that it rotates freely and doesn't become tacky. This is when the foam pads tend to fail and teat apart.

Well, the Kompressor was a used pad. A friend gave it to me to try. Maybe I will pick up a set. I also try to be very aware of product on the pad. I try to make sure it doesn't get to dry or to saturated.

    Re: Rotary polisher pads

I prefer 5.5" pads on my flex rotary. It is all personal preference of course, but I have good results with the CCS pads. I want to try the Kompressor pads one day.
