    Meg's 105/205 tips?

Hi i just ordered the porter cable xp kit which included 3 orange CCS pads (5.5") and XMT 2, and XMT carnuba finishing glaze. I also purchased the Meg's 105/205 combo with 5.5" pads. I have some somewhat severe scratches and swirls on my hood, more so than on my vertical panels. The vertical panels mostly just have swirls. Should i cut with 105 around my whole truck or will the 205 be enough to remove the light swirls and holograms? i dont want to over do it and cut my clear down substantially. Also, if the 205 wont cut the swirls, will the XMT that came with the polisher with an Orange pad do the trick? I am following mike's tip, "use the minimum cutting product to get the job done". Thanks for the input in advance!

Best advice is to just do a test spot (or spots) before you do the whole vehicle, and decide whats good enough for you.

The interpretation of the word severe in this case could mean a whole lot, but it sounds like its probably going to take the 105 with a DA for sure.

Play around with it. Lots to learn everytime the pad hits the paint..

Seeing that its a GMC. Im sure it's going to need 105 then 205, but as mentioned do a test spot on the hood to make sure your getting the results you want. I HIGHLY recommend getting some good hallogen work lamps, hard to work on swirls/scratches when they aren't easy to see.

When your 105 finishes down, sqirt your suface with water and hit it again
