Re: Painted Aluminum Wheels with dings
The dings aren't even noticeable, I'm thinking more in terms of preventing corrosion. I use DP Wheel Glaze as my wheel protectant.

If you can't even notice them, I wouldn't do anything. I would just keep using the wheel glaze because if you use the touchup clearcoat, you'll make them more noticable. Do you drive it as a DD?

Re: Painted Aluminum Wheels with dings
No, it sits in the garage in the winter and I only take it out every so often during the warmer months. If I don't touch it up with clear, won't those spots corrode? I'm thinking I could just put little, tiny dabs of clear over them. This way I won't make it more noticeable and I won't have to worry about corrosion forming over the dings.

Then honestly I wouldn't worry about it. They're not gonna corrode unless they see salt or rain everyday, especially if you're using the wheel glaze.

The Poorboys Wheel Sealant, DP Wheel Glaze and the RejeX are perfect products to protect your wheels.

Re: Painted Aluminum Wheels with dings
I've used Klasse sealant also on my rims and it seems to work well on my Camaro rims, lasts a while, I use the Klasse as a winter sealant for all over the car. I also have a 2010 1LT Camaro and will be upgrading to the Polished rims in the spring. Have a slight rash on one rim, plan on rubbing it slightly with light grit sand paper, cleaning and applying clear to repair it slightly then putting sealant over it to protect it long term.

Re: Painted Aluminum Wheels with dings
ive done 3 '10 and '11 Camaros and I have to admit that the wheels look like crap! They are polished satin looking aluminum and DP Wheel Glaze didnt help one bit!
I havent seen the painted clear coated ones but im sure they are hands cleaner looking ... my guess is that they are trying to go after the old school polished aluminum look ...
