ONR Rinseless wash method
I have seen threads/videos that depict two general methods of using ONR.
1) Make one pass with MF changing sides after each pass. Using 2-4 towels per vehicle
2) Running over entire panel and rinsing media after each panel
To me #1 seems safer, but has anyone used #2 with success

Re: ONR Rinseless wash method
I use #2 with a 2 bucket system with my DD's with great success. After cleaning my mitt with the grit guard, even by the end of washing the car, my ONR solution is still clean.
Bear in mind I have not done any paint correction on either of them, so I do not know if I am introducing swirls by using this method. That is something I plan on finding out next spring/summer.

How about
3) Making one pass with each side of the towel and rinsing after all sides are used?
Some of it depends on how dirty the car is. You need to use common sense about when to pre-rinse, how many passes to make, how often you rinse, etc. If the car is really dirty, you're going to need to limit the area you cover and rinse more often, invert that if the car is clean.

A lot of AGers talk about using ONR. What do the rest of you do.

Pretty much this! You might need more than 1 towel. Not all of the dirt/particulates will release from an MF towel into the bucket and 1 towel will usually get too dirty for me to feel safe putting back onto the paint.

Re: ONR Rinseless wash method
I prefer pre rinse with pressure sprayer and then 1bucket with a sponge.
I tried the mf towel on a car that was parked under a tree for a week. Use ONR as a pre rinse then proceeded with a mf. The MF picked up so much dirt and didn't release really anything in the bucket even with the grit guard and ringing out. I did make four passes on each body panel, then a sponge for the undercarriage. I did the whole car and no real added starches, but it there was still tons of dirt that a sponge would of picked up. worst part is that the towel is stained and now I won't use it on paint ever again. I admit the mf towel is faster, 8sides to wash with instead of two on a sponge. but its not worth wasting a towel each time or having to go over a spot 3 or 4 times. I might try the mf towel another week on my car and see how it goes(soft clear coat). Still I think I will stick with the sponge and one bucket of ONR.
Oh what does work well is ONR+mf+wheels. ONR breaks down brake dust really well and with a mf towel you can really clean up most wheels. Its super fast and takes 1 towel, sometimes two to dry. Use those towels for wheels only

I personally use the microchenille mitt with 2 bucket and grit guard (rinse after each panel), so far, great results.

I'm glad you found something that works for you. I tired this mf chenille mitt but I had the same problem that it picks up all of this dirt and won't let it go. It takes +20mins to scrub with dawn dish soaps and days to dry. that or toss it in the washing machine. a sponge takes 5mins to clean up with dish soap.

Re: ONR Rinseless wash method
I've only done a few cars but so far I've used MF towels about 4 per car, 2 Bucket method, doing 1 panel at a time from top to bottom, folding the MF and changing sides for each panel. So far no scratches or micro marring.

You do a whole panel with just one side (1/4) of a MF?
