    Pad life

I know I have been asking alot today.

But in all the searching I have done I have not seen this pop up and maybe it will help myself being I do not know much about pads, and maybe others.

    My question is just that.

    1. How do you know when your pad is done and needs to be tossed.
Working on a new sig..... still working....... if only it was as easy as buffing out swirls is...... Brad is my name.

The most common indicator is visual, when it becomes visually tatty looking it's time to toss it or delegate it to grunt work.

For example, once in a while I need to buff out something like a boat trailer which is painted sections of usually square tubing, I wouldn't want to use a nice pad for this kind of work so I use a tatty pad that I would never use car panels.

Sometimes the backing material will loosen and if this happens you either have to re-attach it or toss it...

    Just use common sense...
