Looking for advice on polish for Lemans Blue Vette

About a year and a half ago I bought a Lemans Blue '06 Vette. Paint is in excellent condition. I clayed the car and applied Zaino. I've been using Zaino for 10 years.

I'm looking for a polish that would give the blue a richer deeper look. I've thought about the Mother's three step system. Going from Zaino, would I be satisfied with this?

Given that there are a gazillion choices out there, I thought I would turn to this form for "professional help".

Any and all advice would be appreciated.

Zaino products work really well, properly applied, the Zaino Z2 Pro creates a very clear, glassy finish.

Mother's 3-step system is a time-proven system that again, when properly applied will create a show car finish.

What you want when trying to give the blue a richer deeper look, is to make sure the top coat, that is the clear coat is a clean and clear as possible. By clean I mean, defect free.

If you've never machine polished your Corvette's finish that might be a step you would want to consider as machine polishing is more effective than hand polishing at creating a smooth, glossy finish than hand polishing.

Pinnacle Souveran Paste is very good at creating a clear, deep reflective finish on paint in excellent condition.

Machine polish............ I have been considering trying this for over a year, but quite frankly I am afraid of messing up the finish of the car since I have never done this before.

Having said this, if I decide to try this, what links should I go to for:
1. What equipment to purchase
2. What supplies (polishes, etc) to purchase
3. Proper machine polishing techiques

FWIW ...... hope you don't mind the pics. Sometimes it's easier to show than to try to explain and picture the end result.

It's fairly difficult to mess up a finish when buffing with a foam polishing pad on a DA polisher. A rotary might be a little easier to get carried away with so using a DA would be your best bet.

Here are 3 different BMWs that I have used 3 different processes on .......

The first was a 3 stage polishing beginning with a clay bar treatment.

Menzerna Power Finish
Menzerna SIP
Menzerna PO85RD
Machine applied sealant

2009 BMW M3 Interlagos Blue:




The second is a 2007 Montego Blue 335i:

Polished with Menzerna APO60 Sealing Wax
Machine applied sealant



The third is also a 2007 Montego Blue 335i:

Polished with Menzerna Power Finish
Machine applied sealant
Hand applied carnauba liquid wax



Carnauba wax is going to give the deepest, richest look to paint hands down ......

Get 5.5" pads, either flat, hydro or ccs, they all work great and you'll find people are all over the board with which ones "they" think are best but truth is they'll all get the job done.

Lately I'm leaning towards the 3/4" Hydro-Tech pads.

The easiest, and safest polishes to work with are the Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover and the Wolfgang Finishing Glaze, use the Total Swirl Remover first and then follow with the Finishing Glaze and after that you can put on a finishing foam pad and apply our choice of wax or paint sealant by hand if you like. (That's my preference, even when using a paste wax).

In the "Show Car Garage Videos" forum group there's a thread called how to do a "Section Pass", if you watch that video it will pretty much show you everything you need to know to get show car results when using a DA Polisher.

some Zaino users actually prefer to top their sealants with a pure wax, might try something like SSII from Pinnacle first and see if you like the additional wetness and depth.
