    Decal removal

Hello ...i removed some decals from a car before polishing it and there is a huge difference in the colour that it was under the decal and the rest of the car...i tried to wet sand it with no luck.the paint is single stage and i almost removed all the paint without any luck for colour matching...Any ideas ?????

    Thanks

It should even itself out in the sun in a couple weeks. I only removed decals off 2 stage paint and compound/polish normally works for me.

so it is better not to wax it and park it in the sun for a few days and then bring it back for waxing????

If it didn't clear up after wet sanding and buffing you may be out of luck. It may be possible that the adhesives from the decals may have effected the paint too.

i guess that it will never come back...the good think is that it is a racing car and the owner is going to install new decals so he will cover it
