Lake Country pads - HDO CCS/SDO CCS vs Regular HDO/SDO?
I'm eager to try Lake Country pads and want to ensure I get the right ones.
Currently, I use Meguiar's thin red (DFC5 - Cutting) and thin yellow (DFP5 - Polishing) pads, along with Griot's Orange (Cutting) and Yellow (Polishing) pads.
I'm willing to invest in quality, but I'm uncertain which pads will work best with my Milwaukee 15mm Dual Action cordless polisher.
I've been considering HDO w/CCS, SDO w/CCS, or just regular HDO/SDO/CCS pads.
However, the color coding is a bit confusing. Does CCS orange equate to HDO/SDO blue? And is CCS white similar to the orange on HDO/SDO?
Are there any advantages to using HDO/SDO with CCS compared to the regular HDO or SDO?
I am planning on doing light polishing (Just for swirls) on a brand new Kia Sportage with Griots BOSS perfecting cream before applying Gyeon Mohs Evo coating.

"Lake Country added the SDO pad line for detailers using forced rotation or other non-long throw polishers"

Ah the old CCS vs. non-CCS argument. I don't remember anyone ever saying they liked the CCS pads.

I like the CSSS (for polishing). Green is my favorite, decent cut for a soft pad, but extremely glassy finish.

Who are you asking that of? The OP says he has a "Milwaukee 15mm Dual Action cordless polisher"

Okay ...
Would you pick SDO or HDO for my use case and machine? One HDO pad is basically 2x the price of an SDO pad.

Since your polisher has a 15mm throw the HDO lineup would be better suited for your setup. Some say the CCS dimples provide a smoother experience since less of the pad is making contact with the surface. It really is personal preference. Get a CCS HDO and a non CCS HDO pad and do some comparisons, you will have your answer then.
